About us and our idea

FlaminGokite is all about simplicity, functionality, and the love for kitesurfing. Actually, the Aliki beach is “populated” only by kitesurfers. Being one with our surroundings is important since we are located in a highly protected area and we try to be as eco-friendly as possible. Because of this, we encourage our guests to leave a minimum “footprint” on the nature around them. Most of the materials used to build our station are recycled and from the island of Limnos, with the help of the locals.

We believe good stable wind conditions, quality new equipment, and responsible experienced instructors with a more personal attitude towards our guests are key elements for a successful kite station. With this in mind, we found a very special, less crowded place at Aliki beach, North of Keros bay which we fell in love with.

Everyday we stay past sunset not because we have to, but because we love to have quality conversations while enjoying the beach with our guests.

Our name is deeply inspired by our close neighbors at the Aliki lake, the flamingos! You may even be lucky enough to find a feathery gift from them when they fly over our spot.

In summary, our goal is to help you progress as a kitesurfer and to be one with nature while listening to good music, enjoying the sunsets, and living in the present moment, regardless of who you are and what you do in life. Our friends come from all walks of life and everyone is welcome to join us!

 We have a small, but very passionate team of experienced kitesurf instructors — Margo, Buji, Peter, and Simona. We love what we do and you’re going to feel it when you meet us!
